Is your distilled water really good quality?

You may be surprised how impure homemade distilled or reverse osmosis water can be and thus your colloid of silver can also be. Let PII test it free for you!

A water still must be operated at very specific conditions to produce good quality water, as 'boil over' or the entrainment of droplets of poor quality water will contaminate your distillate. If you start with typical 300 PPM water and run the still to 90 percent processed, the residue will then be 3,000 PPM and thus a very small amount of entrainment will ruin your distillate. Just 0.1% will add 3 PPM!

For drinking and other uses this is may be fine but for producing 3 to 5 PPM colloid of silver it is useless, as you then get silver salts! Since most are very insoluable, they are on average 10,000 times less effective then silver ions and in excess can be harmful.

Quoting this Canadian Government site:

"The effect of speciation on the acute and chronic toxicity of silver was compared using the fathead minnow as the test organism. Silver sulfide, silver thiosulfate and silver chloride were compared to the silver ion, added as silver nitrate. The tests were flow-through in soft water at 25°C. Silver chloride was found to be 300 times less toxic, silver sulfide was 15,000 times less toxic, and silver thiosulfate was 17,500 times less toxic than silver nitrate. (Ed: silver nitrate, one of the few soluable silver salts, disassociates to free ions of silver(and nitrates) and toxicity was to eggs or embryos, not multi-celled grown fish)"

MAKING ULTRA PURE WATER

We have spent many years looking for the best solution to getting good water quality and have finally found the ultimate water purifier is the SpectraPure RO/DI system. DISTILLED WATER

If you insist on distilling your own, for the production of a colloid of silver, then buy a pure water meter for around $50 (or our colloidal silver generator with built-in digital meter) to be sure of what you are producing. Otherwise, take samples from your still at 50% done and 100% done and send for us to test. If here is a large difference in PPM you could stop and empty the still when half-way done! If both are poor, you should double distill your water and use a contamination free periodic cleaning of the still.!

Most distilled water tests we ran for customers, average 5 PPM at 50% and 15 PPM at the end, both of which are of no value for making 5 PPM colloid. Double distilling (put it through again) in a clean still can make good quality water!

You may not know it, but you can not produce ions of silver if the water has excessive contamination, as any ions of silver produced will complex with dissolved solids, to produce silver salts! Thus, no free ions of silver will remain, the whole reason for the process! See Colloid for very detailed information and hints for producing the best ionic silver colloid.

You may wish to purchase distilled or deionized water from your grocery store or other other local source. At our Publics Market we find their brand of deionized water to be very good (less then 0.3 PPM) and only 59 cents a gallon. Their distilled water varies from 0.5 to 18 PPM, so for some weeks it is useless for generating ionic silver.

Our tests of water produced by customers stills indicate a very wide variation and thus many have problems in using it for producing a pure colloid of silver. Our COLLGEN2 unit is designed to shut off automatically at a preset PPM and the use of poor quality water or additives will cause it to shut off without producing any colloid. This is the reason we include a digital meter read-out of the PPM, so you can see the quality of the water at the beginning and the results at the end so you know exactly what you have produced.

SENDING SAMPLES

Send samples (one or two ounces) to the below address and include your Email address so we can reply with the FREE test results. DO NOT BOTHER if you have added anything, as our equipment will not measure actual silver content, only total PPM. We use a conductivity tester which measures in micro-Siemens/cm, to test both your water and Cs samples. Then we check the Cs for particulate matter with a Tyndall test to see if there is suspended matter or a colloid. Next we test for metallic silver (atoms/crystals) and if needed test for ions of silver. From all of these, we can deduce the Cs quality and where your process may have failed.

Samples should be put in a bottle that has been rinsed a few times with pure water before filling with the test sample. They will not be returned, unless you send return postage and a label.

SIMPLE HOME TESTS YOU CAN DO:

If you wish to make one of the most important tests of Cs, you can easily do it at home! The best product contains no metallic silver and a very simple test for metallic silver is to add some hydrogen peroxide to the Cs. For a valid test, pour a few spoons of your Cs into a new clean plastic bag and add about half a spoon of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to it - the ratio is not critical! Twist the bag, to expell most of the air and use a paper clip to hold the twisted area. Lay it where it will not be disturbed and look for bubbles after a few hours! If any, you have very poor product! If metal free, there will be none even after 24 hours! Metallic silver is a catalyst for breaking down H2O2 into water and oxygen gas, while silver ions have no effect!

The absence of bubbles necessitates another test, to check for silver ions, as you could have only silver salts, which are almost useless! To test for ions, you can add a few grains of table salt to the same baggy of silver colloid and shake it to dissolve the salt.

If you had ions the Cs will turn slightly cloudy (hazy)in a few minutes. As a comparison, add some of your colloidal silver to another baggy, as it may be hard to see the slightly cloudy effect without a comparison sample. The cloud is from silver salts (tiny crystals) forming from the silver ions and chlorine ions from the table salt. In a day or two you may see larger clear crystals of silver chloride on the bottom, but only if the solution was saturated (strong) enough to make them grow!

Another simple test of quality is the Tyndal effect, where you shine a flashlight beam thru the glass of colloidal silver and if there is a strongly visible beam of light through the water, you have poor product, as particles can not reflect light unless over 400 nm (the lower wavelength of visible light). The smaller the particles the better and an ionic only solution will reflect no light!

You will find most cheap Cs generators produce very poor product, due to the formation of silver salts or crystals. Without a meter, to test your starting water, poor water of over 5PPM will cause you to produce only silver salts! Lack of fluid circulation will force the formation of silver crystals!

It is hard to believe, but search the web for PPM meter amd circulation and you will not find another unit that has a built-in PPM meter and uses fluid circulation! Sadly, many try to design units based on price rather then effectiveness or just do not understand the process pit falls and limitations!

STRANGE WATER PROPERTIES

Water covers 70% of the earths surface and is upto 80% of our body mass! It is life and even has some individual and unique "living" characteristics. As the most universal solvent, it acts like an enzyme in that it can cleave molecules (salts), breaking them into the ionic constituants. This is called solvating or dissolving and is possible due to the bipolar character of water, as the two hydrogen electrons are only 120 degrees apart, instead of the expected 180 degrees.

An early observer of the "life in water" was Viktor Schauberger who discovered it is the meandering of streams and rivers that creats vortexs (whirling motion of water), which are responsible for its bouyancy and self-cleaning abilities. He also recognized the importance of the vortex movement for the life-energetic properties of water.

Its molecules can surround solvated ion clusters (micelles), reducing mobility and keeping them from rejoining. Plus it can duplicate the frequency of other materials, as proven by the studies of Dr. Benveniste on the "memory of water", (http://www.digibio.com/archive/20010315-Guardian.htm) wherein he was able to add an antibody to pure water and then proceed to dilute it over and over yet with simple vortexing it would retain the characteristics (frequency signature) of that antibody, although it was diluted past the point of having one molecule of it left. Indirectly he proved the validity of homeopathy, the dilution, violent shaking and dilution of medicines to impart the features/benefits to the greatly diluted mix.

Others, like Dr. Masaru Emoto, a visionary researcher from Japan studied the concept of micro cluster water and undertook extensive research of water around the planet not so much as a scientific researcher but more from the perspective of an original thinker. At length he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that water showed us its true nature.

Distilled Water > < Water from a pure source

Dr Emoto began by studying the crystallization process of water. It all started in 1994 when he took samples of water from various sources, froze a few droplets, examined them under a dark field microscope and photographed them. He photographed the crystal formations produced by water as it passes from liquid into freezing state.

He quickly realized that the crystals that formed from water depended highly on the natural health of the water. In other words, water from natural springs, healing water sources etc, formed beautiful and complex crystalline geometries - like snowflakes.

Water that had been distilled, polluted or passed through consumption had lost its inner order. This leads to the realization that natural healthy water carries an 'inner order' defining its nature and properties.

For making colloidal silver, I would not be concerned about using "dead distilled water" (due to the small dose used) but for drinking I prefer to use RO/DI water which has not been "denatured" by destructive heating.
